Think Oconee!
"Think Oconee!" is an initiative created to focus local spending habits, support the county's businesses and to celebrate what makes Oconee County special! Its objectives are to emphasize what makes Oconee County great, to educate citizens on their global impact, to localize spending, and to deepen connections within the community. Western District Champions
Congratulations to the Gilbert Team for winning their regular-season city and county championship this year. They had a flawless record going 15-0 for the season. Local Hero Saves Life of Teenager
Seneca Police Officer Staff Sergeant Ross Ragsdale saves the life of a young teenager at The El Alazan Mexican Restaurant. The boy came into the restaurant for lunch when started choking. Luckily, A group of Seneca's police officers were there at the time of the incident. Staff Sergeant Ragsdale performed the Heimlich maneuver to save the boy's life and escorted him to the bathroom to ensure he was okay.
