Veterans Appreciation Family Night!

Seneca Fest 5K
The weather was beautiful at 8 am on Saturday morning as over 150 runners lined up for the 2nd Annual Seneca Fest 5K in front of the Shaver Complex. Anticipation and nerves settle as the horn sounds -- signaling the start of the race to Seneca Baptist Churh and back. 3.125 grueling miles! Many runners racing to be the 1st across the finish line, some runners racing to beat their personal best, and the rest  just happy to finish. Congratulations to all runners/walkers!! Rosenwald Schools - Reflection and Revival!
In 2002, the National Trust for Historic Preservation placed Rosenwald schools on its list of America's 11 most Endangered Historic Places to raise national awareness of Rosenwald schools. In that year the National Trust establlished the Rosenwald Schools Initiative to create a network of Rosenwald school preservationists, develop educational tools, and provide funding to help save Rosenwal schools. It is estimated that only 12 - 15% of the original 5, 357 Rosenwald-funded structures still exist...
