BabyRead: Won 2 Grant Awards and my July Journal Column
BabyRead: Won 2 Grant Awards and my July Journal Column BabyRead recently won $2,000.00 from Duke Energy Foundation and $1,000.00 from the United Way of Oconee County. These organizations are pioneers in funding literacy from birth rather than school age children which is what most foundations do. Our total estimated expenses for 2018 are $10-11,000.00 so these awards are a big help.We donated a book for each for the 32 children at Early Head Start of Oconee County in early July for the children...

SPD with Tribble Center on 4th of JulyThe SPD participated (Lt. Brian Sheriff with the SPD is the organizer for the SPD) with the Annual Tribble Center’s 4th of July Parade this morning; there were many consumers that were in the parade! Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, SPD, other LE agencies, Seneca Fire Department, Military, and private citizens drove antique vehicles, off the road vehicles, tractors and wagon, military vehicles, and walkers; the volunteers pushed wheel chairs and lots of folks...
