Dewitt Martin Honored For 20 Years of Service.

The assistant utilities director for Seneca, Dewitt Martin, left last night's city council meeting with an engraved plaque in recognition of 20 years service to the former Oconee Sewer Commission and the modern day Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority.  Until recently replaced, Martin served as a Seneca representative to the authority which sets policy for wastewater services in Oconee County.  The plaque was presented by Mayor Dan Alexander, who said it is his city's intentions to bestow a similar honor upon Jerry Opperman, another former long-time sewer commissioner.
