Proclamation of American Red Cross Month

For more than 96 years. the Red Cross in Oconee County has been the place where citzens join together, and the generosity and compassion of the American people finds purpose. It's been the place where someone who may not know you will still give you first aid, save you from drowning or provde you with shelter. Never has this been more evident than this past year when deadly Hurricane Sandy hit the eastern seaboard. Oconee County citizens responded swiftly and generously, and in overwhelming numbers chose their Red Cross as the place to turn their caring into action
