Exciting events at the Ballenger House

The Seneca Women’s Club is hosting an Arts and Crafts show November 30th from 10AM until 4PM and December 1st 3PM-6PM. There will be artists skilled in all different media; painting, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, quilting, etc. This is a free event as the Seneca HATAX supports the Seneca Woman's Club; however, the artisans will be selling their crafts.

The Thread Heads are coming! The Thread Heads are a group of quilters in our community. They will display their beautiful, handcrafted quilts at the Ballenger House November 30th through December 29th. You don’t want to miss the beauty and craftsmanship of an art that is making a comeback. No fee. The Ballenger House will be open Saturday from 10AM to 4pm and Sunday from 3PM to 6pm. During the week, we will be open to groups by appointment, call 888-2825.

Thread Heads is a group of art quilters who have joined together to expand horizons, learn new textile techniques, share and critique work and exhibit in public venues. They have been working together for over ten years and have earned quite a reputation in the quilting world. They exhibit in national quilt shows and have pieces shown at the National Quilt Museum. Their work has traveled as far as Taiwan! Members include; Jean Loussarian, Ann Hanewald, Judy Rapelje, Bonnis Ouellette, Heidi Wolko, aijha Seflic, Carolyn Harris, Jana Schuelke, Paula Tomlin Ridley, Shirley Woods and Donna Barnhaill.

Sunday, December 1st is our Christmas Reception. Please come and enjoy light refreshment and our holiday decorated home, open from 3 to 6pm. You will truly feel the Christmas Spirit. This is the first day of a week of Christmas festivities in Seneca. No fee.
