The Seneca Planning Commission was created in order to guide and accomplish a coordinated and harmonious development of the city which will, in accordance with existing and future needs, best promote the public health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity, and general welfare, as well as efficiency and economy in the process of development as authorized by South Carolina Code of Laws 1976, Section 6-29-340 and empowered and governed by the City of Seneca Code of Law, Section 19-16.

The Seneca Planning Commission shall consist of seven members appointed by the City Council.

If you wish to submit your application before the deadline, there will be more time for our staff to work with you to ensure that your proposed work meets the Official Zoning Ordinance and applicable City Code requirements. Applications should be turned in at the Planning and Development office, 250 East North 2nd Street.
