The Seneca Police Department is currently accepting applications for the following position:


Dispatch Supervisor


Minimum qualifications include a minimum age of 18, high school graduate or equivalent, excellent physical condition, good moral character, excellent communication skills, and able to withstand a rigid background investigation, including polygraph. Candidate must be able to work a varied schedule. Prior dispatch experience required.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Assists the Communications Director in the direction, management, and oversight of the operations and activities of the 911 Communications Center; performs directly related work as stated in the Job Description for Dispatcher as required. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Communications Director and Patrol Captain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Assists the Communications Director in the direction and management of the staff and activities of the 911 Communications Center; assists in scheduling personnel; assists in interviews and hiring procedures; directs staff concerning changes or additions to operational issues at the request of the Communications Director; performs administrative paperwork; assists in the preparation of performance reviews; recommends promotions, demotions, and terminations; directs staff to perform required tasks.
