Application for Zoning Amendment: 204 West South Fifth Street/412 South Oak Street
The Seneca Planning Commission met on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Members present included Mr. Ted Durham, Sr., Mr. James Mazyck, Mr. Laird Sommerville, Mr. Ray Wyatt, Mr. Barry Duvall, and Mr. David Mead. Also, present were Mr. Ed Halbig, Director. The press and public were duly notified as required by law.
Mr. Wyatt opened the meeting with prayer and read opening remarks.
MOTION made by Mr. Duvall to approve minutes as submitted with corrections.
SECOND made by Mr. Meade
AYE Mr. James Mazyck, Mr. Laird Sommerville, Mr. Ray Wyatt, Mr. Barry Duvall, and Mr. David Mead
NAY none
ABSENT Mr. Durham Sr. (arrived after motion)
Mr. Halbig read the zoning amendment for 204 West South Fifth Street/412 South Oak Street.
Mr. Wyatt read the procedures for meeting.
Mr. Wyatt opened the meeting up to the public.
Reverend Samuel Gibson with Sunrise Outreach Ministries introduced himself to the board. He stated his intent was to open up a Ministry at the location. He gave a handout to the board with the different programs that would be offered.
Mrs. Walker introduced herself to the board as the property owner. She stated she did not have a problem with the Ministry using the location.
Mr. Wyatt asked if there was anyone wishing to speak in opposition to the amendment.
Mr. Halbig read staff report.
MOTION made by Mr. Duvall to accept the amendment as requested.
SECOND made by Mr. Sommerville

Mr. Wyatt asked if there was any new business to discuss.
Mr. Halbig reminded board members of their response that was needed for the Christmas Party.

There being none meeting was adjourned.
