City of Seneca - Business Licenses

Businesses operating within the city limits of Seneca are required to purchase a City of Seneca business license.  Fees are based on the rate class associated with the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS).  Please contact our office for correct classification of your business.

All new businesses located within the city limits must obtain a City of Seneca business license before opening for business.  All City of Seneca businesses expire March 31st.

Penalties
A 5% penalty per month will be added if not paid by April 30th on all businesses located within the city limits of Seneca.

All non-resident businesses coming into the city limits to work must also apply for a City of Seneca business license.  The license is based on a per job basis.  Every job requires a current City of Seneca business license or update.

  1. Business Name
  2. Owner’s Name
  3. Mailing Address
  4. Physical Location of Business
  5. Phone Number
  6. Fax Number
  7. Federal Id number or Social Security Number
  8. Description/Type of business you will be conducting
  9. Address of the job where you will be working
  10. Amount you will be paid for the job (all City of Seneca non-resident business licenses are based on the gross receipts paid (labor & materials) to the business
